Annen – Drinking Water Plant
| Since 1994 the WMD has operated a small water treatment plant in the village of Annen that purifies 1.4 million m3 of drinking water annually.
The process of expanding this plant to a capacity of 4.9 million m3 annually got under construction in 1999. In addition, from 2003 onwards, the plant will also purify water from a nearby catchment area (3.5 million m3 per annum). Both plants include a number of unique and far- reaching measures to protect the environment.
