Leadership Announcement – A New Chapter at Spaans Babcock

We are pleased to announce some exciting leadership changes at Spaans Babcock.

Effective July 1st, 2025, Peter Meijer has joined Spaans Babcock as the incoming Managing Director and CEO for the Group.  As per end August, 2025, Peter has officially taken over the responsibilities of Tonnie Eijt, who has decided to step down from his position as CEO and the daily operations of the business.

Peter brings extensive international experience, having held various leadership roles in German manufacturing companies, including positions as Business Unit Director and Managing Director. Over the course of his career, he has also successfully led cross-functional teams across Sales and Marketing, Product and Applications Development, and both direct and indirect Sales.

As part of the leadership changes, we are also pleased to announce the promotion of Edwin van Lingen to Operations Director. Edwin has been with Spaans Babcock for over 15 years and has been instrumental to our success, first in his role as Service Manager and later in his role as Manager Operations. In his new role, he will continue to oversee operations and report to Peter, while Peter will focus more on the financial, strategical and commercial aspects of the business.

We thank Tonnie for his many years of dedicated leadership and welcome Peter and Edwin into their new roles as we look forward to this new chapter for Spaans Babcock.
